Meet the Teachers
Alexandra Hartline
Alexandra previously lived in Taiwan and Spain for more than six years in total and received her Master in Bilingual and Multicultural Education from the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares in Madrid, Spain. She has worked in a variety of academic settings including language academies, bilingual schools, and universities. Alexandra has taught learners of all ages and currently teaches ESL at a university. She enjoys connecting with her students in-person and online, and reflection and feedback are essential components of her teaching practice. She also has a Certificate in Copyediting from the University of California, San Diego and previously worked as a travel writer. She is available for proofreading and editing services. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and practicing mindfulness meditation. She can speak Spanish and Mandarin Chinese.
Lucas Edmond
A recipient of both the State Department’s Fulbright Scholarship and the English Language Fellowship, Lucas has been professionally involved in second language education for the past six years. After spending a year teaching in India as a Fulbright Scholar, he attended the University of Hawaii, where he received his MA in Second Language Studies with concentrations in both second language education and sociolinguistics. Since then, Lucas has taught in a variety of settings, from a public elementary school for refugee students in the US to an international business college in rural Thailand. He loves working with students and tailoring his classes to their unique interests and learning needs, and in his free time, he enjoys traveling, cooking, and studying languages. In addition to English, he can communicate in Spanish, Japanese, Hindi, and Urdu.
